Pineapple Face Mask

Mom brought us fresh pineapples the other day and we've got some left, so I grabbed the opportunity to make this pineapple face mask.  My face has been looking so dull lately, maybe because of this super cold weather we're having.

Pineapple, a tropical fruit, which definitely reminds me of summer and the beach, is not only a delicious treat but also has lots of benefits for the skin.  It contains vitamin C, well-known for its anti-aging, antioxidant, and whitening properties, and bromelain that lessens dryness and dullness of the skin, helps remove dead skin cells, and helps stimulate skin renewal.

Pineapple Face Mask

For this beauty recipe, you will need the following:
1.  A teaspoon of olive oil
2.  A teaspoon of honey
3.  Fresh pineapple cut into small bits
Pineapple Face Mask
Let's start!  In a clean bowl, place all three ingredients.  The olive oil and honey will help moisturize the skin and the pineapple (as mentioned) will remove dead skin cells, make your skin elastic, improve skin hydration, and reduce age spots (ehem!) and fine lines.

Crush the pineapple bits using a fork or a spoon or even a handheld mixer, just make sure the pineapple is well crushed into tiny bits.  Mix thoroughly until the honey, the oil, and the juice from the tidbits is well incorporated.

Apply the mixture generously on your face and let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes.  Wash your face with your favorite face wash then rinse with warm water.

Enjoy your clear and glowing complexion ;)
Have fun!

  1. I love eating pineapple ! It's also great for the body when you eat it, because it's known to help with digestion.
