DIY Jute String Bottles

It's time for another home decor DIY!
As usual, this one is super simple and super easy to make but will definitely add more interest to your home.
I love using jute string as it reminds of the beach cottages and country-style homes plus the fact that it is super cheap.

The materials you'll need are as follows:
1.  Jute string (I got this from Japan Home 3 for 99php.)
 2. Old plastic bottles or any container you want
(You can even use glass bottles or any container you want to revamp
(even empty Pik-Nik or Pringles containers!)
3.  Glue gun + glue stick

Get your plastic bottle or any container of your choice.  Start at the top by putting a bit of glue between the bottle and the jute string to keep the string in place.

Go around the bottle a couple of times then dab some more glue on the bottle before continuing to wrap around the jute string.  Make sure to wrap the string tightly.

You can leave your bottle like this, but I would like to jazz it up a little bit.
DIY Jute String Bottles
Take six 12-inch pieces of string.  Tie a knot at one end, then divide the strings into three parts.

Braid your jute strings until you reach desired length.  Tie a knot at the end to secure your braid.

Wrap the braid around the base of your bottle.  Make sure you lie the braid flat on the bottle and secure it with glue every couple of inches.  Cut the excess braid (if there are any).

You can now place flowers on your bottle for it to function as a vase or make more jute string bottles and group them together to make a simple accent for your home.

Who says decorating your home is expensive? All you need is a little creativity.
Enjoy lovelies!
