Having trouble forgetting where you place your favorite ring? I do! I usually place my ring somewhere, then the next time I use it, I sure waste a lot of time looking for it. Here is a simple solution I whipped up to make life easier. No more misplaced rings!
You will need the following:
1. Foam
2. Small frame (This was an old calendar frame from Papemelroti.)
3. Your handy dandy glue gun + glue stick
4. Sharp scissors
5. Scrap fabric of your choice
6. Faux pearls
7. Pins
You will need the following:

2. Small frame (This was an old calendar frame from Papemelroti.)
3. Your handy dandy glue gun + glue stick
4. Sharp scissors

6. Faux pearls
7. Pins
First up, measure your frame. Mark your foam with those measurements and cut the foam the same exact size as your frame.
Now, cover the foam with the fabric of your choice. I have scrap canvas I used for my earrings and ring holder project (see tutorial here). Seal the edges with your hot glue stick.
Here is what it should look like after. This would be the face of your ring holder.
Next, glue your covered foam to your small picture frame using the glue stick and let it dry. It should look something like this afterwards, but we're not finished yet. See those ugly sides we have there? We don't want that, do we?
Get those faux pearls ready and start gluing them down between the edge of the frame and your covered foam. Go all around the edges of the frame until you have covered the entire four sides.
Tada! Looking good. Now, all we need to do is have something for the ring to hold on to.
Get a piece of pin. I've got these covered ones that looked like pearls. It's perfect for my "theme" so I used it :) You might have to cut the pin a few inches back so that the head won't stick out too long. I cut mine about half an inch using pliers with wire-cutter blades.
You can now hang your favorite ring and never ever worry where you've placed it :)
I always keep in mind a tip I got from someone that in order to have organized home, every little thing in your house should have a "home."
Here's my favorite ring's home from now on :)
Hope you give this a try and have fun!

DeleteLove this idea!! I usually just keep my ring inside the drawer and this system is working for me now. The thing at home is that we have to keep things away from our toddler, hehehe so most of the time, we keep everything in a drawer.
