Good morning lovelies! I am here with another family favorite that I would love to share with you. Caldereta, a dish much like our beloved adobo, is a Filipino staple for fiestas and other special occasions. I have seen different versions of this dish. Others have potatoes and carrots and I have even tried the authentic "calderetang Batangas" which uses goat meat and instead of pork and is not tomato based but soy sauce based. This is the version me and husband came up with and it is really a winner especially when we have guests over.
How To Clean Tarnished Jewelry

How to Make Your Very Own Dream Catcher
Good morning my darlings! How's your Holy Week vacation? I do hope you had a recharged mind, body, and soul. I made this very interesting project over the weekend. I have been seeing this a lot over Tumblr and even Facebook and decided that I could do a simple one that I could hang above our bed.
Dream catchers are one of the most fascinating
traditions of Native Americans. The traditional dream catcher was
intended to protect the sleeping individual from negative dreams, while
letting positive dreams through. The positive dreams would slip through
the hole in the center of the dream catcher, and glide down the feathers
to the sleeping person below. The negative dreams would get caught up
in the web, and expire when the first rays of the sun struck them.
The dream catcher has been a part of Native American culture for generations. One element of Native American dream catcher relates to the tradition of the hoop. Some Native Americans of North America held the hoop in the highest esteem, because it symbolized strength and unity. Many symbols started around the hoop, and one of these symbols is the dream catcher.

Fried Suman (Steamed Sticky Rice) with Ube Ice Cream
Good day my darlings. I made a super easy recipe again today. This is the perfect dessert for me during hot summer days. Suman (steamed sticky rice) is pretty common here in our place that all markets have them. Even my aunts and cousins also know how to make them. Sticky rice is cooked with a bit of lye or for a more tastier version, coconut milk, wrapped in banana leaves then steamed until cooked. Absolutely a perfect partner for coffee or hot chocolate, but today, we will be making it into cool and sweet treat.
Lumpiang Gulay (Vegetable Roll)
Good day dear readers! Because it's Holy Thursday today and no meat is allowed on our dining table, I made these simple yet delicious lumpia. Still full of protein with the togue (mung bean sprouts), this is an excellent alternative for meat this Lenten season.
DIY Bathroom Deodorizer
Good day darlings! Today, I will be sharing another cheap trick with you. I want my bathroom always clean and fresh-smelling. In my opinion, a home with a clean bathroom reflects a person's cleanliness. If your bathroom is clean, you must be a very tidy person who runs that place. They also say that when you have guests coming to your home and you do not have the time to clean your whole house, the first or only room you must clean is your bathroom because it is the only place in your home where guests can be alone and notice little details, ehem, dirt. So, today, I want to share with you a simple chemical-free recipe I use to make our bathroom smelling fresh and clean that is both environment and budget friendly.
Crispy Chicken Nuggets with Honey Mustard Sauce
Ready for another super easy and super yummy recipe? I've got another one for you. I'm a big fan of McDonald's McNuggets and I really miss their honey and mustard dip which is only available occasionally. I think the last time I ordered nuggets with honey mustard sauce was back when they were promoting Shrek. I remembered that clearly because they colored the sauce neon green. The husband came up with the idea of recreating the recipe and I really loved it. I like it more now than the ones from McDonald's. If you love this chicken nuggets and want to know how simple it is to make at home, keep on reading.
Chili Cheese Sticks a.k.a. Dynamite Sticks
Good day darlings :) I'm sorry if I haven't posted the past few days. I have been so busy lately with no internet access to post new entries. Today, I am sharing yet another favorite recipe that's perfect pulutan (appetizer). I made this a couple of weeks back and boy, was it yummy. I have seen this recipe so many times but I decided to make the the "jumbo" version. I hope you like this super simple, super easy recipe that you can prepare for your friends and family.
Summer Denim Shorts
Good day my dear readers! Because it's summer already, it's definitely time to wear something comfy and fashionable at the same time. Shorts are a must have for summer. It's the perfect piece to wear to show off those legs. I love wearing shorts, especially denim, because they are very versatile. You can wear them with bikinis and flip flops or just a plain white tee and your favorite wedges. I made three cut-offs today that you can easily recreate using an old pair of jeans.
Rustic Twig Vase
Good day darlings! Today, I made another simple home project. I love bringing the outdoors inside our home. I think flowers, faux or real, make a room so much more beautiful. These faux peonies I bought at a local store were only 40 pesos a bunch. The vase I used was almost free as I just gathered some twigs and used some string and Styro which I already have at home. I really liked the rustic vibe it had. I think I would put these at our bedside tables but I will surely move them around the house from time to time. I love changing things up as I get bored so easily.
