Good day my dear readers! I would like to share another beauty recipe that you will surely love. I have been doing this for like forever since I found out about it and never went back to store-bought, overpriced, overrated moisturizing lotions. I usually tend to have dry skin and this one solved my problem. I love how it makes my skin silky smooth. Another thing I love about this recipe is you can customize it to your own preference.
You will need the following:
1. A clean and empty container
2. Vitamin E capsules
3. Your favorite lotion (I love the scent of this one plus its cheap for only 100 buckaroos)
4. A bowl and whisk
5. Virgin coconut oil (You can also use olive oil)
First step, place the lotion, virgin coconut oil, and vitamin E oil in a bowl. Prick the vitamin E capsules with a toothpick to get the oil inside. My ratio for this batch was one part lotion plus one part virgin coconut oil. I just eyeballed the amount then added the contents of two vitamin E capsules.
Now, all you have to do is mix, mix, mix! You can use an electric mixer for this, but I was to lazy to reach for it so I just used the attachment and manually whipped all three ingredients.
Make sure the ingredients are well combined. You want your mixture to look like this after. It should form peaks.
Now, time to place your mixture in a clean container. You can use old lotion containers. I prefer the ones with pumps but I don't have them at the moment so I just placed it in a jar. I used a small plastic spoon to scoop the mixture.
You are done! Apply this concoction daily for super smooth baby skin :) You can add drops of essential oil if your lotion is unscented to create your very own scent.
Have fun doing this guys! Til our next DIY :)

DeleteWhere can I buy that lotion, sis? First time to see that brand. Can I also put sunflower oil?
ReplyDeleteBought it at SM supermarket sis at their imported goods section. Got the aloe cucumber one. They also have the chocolate scented one. Yes, you can put sunflower oil ;)
DeleteWow! I love DIYs! <3 I will definitely try this out. By the way, how long will it last? like expiry date?
ReplyDeletelasts for months sis, 4 - 6 months. if you want it to last much longer, put it in the fridge ;)
DeleteI love VCO, the only problem I have with it is that it smells bad when it gets rancid on the skin. For those who have found the essential oil that goes best with VCO, do share because sometimes it really needs help :D
ReplyDelete--> Mrs. Diaz.
aww! never had that problem with VCO before. i always add vitamin E on my "concoctions." i read somewhere that it acts as a preservative. hope this helps :)
DeleteYay! Will try this soon :) What lotion did you use for this one? :)
ReplyDeletethanks jacq! i used enliven (skin care) lotion. got it from SM supermarket, 100 pesos for 400mL, aloe and cucumber scent.
